Does anyone pre-date me?

Fellows,

I was assigned to the 15th Med Det in Nov 1977. Back then we only had the white canvas quansut looking hanger.
Big enough for 2 UH-1's. The office was in the back. Looking at one of the aerial pics on the site it appears to still be there but now theres a steel hanger next to it. There was a SSG named "Greasy" (thats what everyone called him anyways) at the hangar directly across. He had worked on the fixed wing aircraft there for years. Our barracks used to be next to the Mess Hall!!!Nice. Down near the indoor pool, ball field and Finance Bldg. I have some old pics I will dig up and post soon. I cant remember the guys name but when I saw the pic of "Elmer Fudd" i recognized him to be the guy who could sign you up for the Volksmarches. I went on a few. He always wore the lederhosen. We always wondered how he washed them : )
