Aferdou (Morocco Mission)

In 1987 (I think), the 15th Med was tasked with sending two H60's and crew to support an Infantry brigade exercise with the Moroccan military in a place called Er Rachidia, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains at the western edge of the Sahara. After a 5-day flight from Germany, the crews spend 30 fun- and sun-filled days courtesy of Uncle Sam in wonderful Morocco.
